iPod Touch: 90% of the iPhone for 75% of the cost

I fell in love with the iPhone and got swept up in the hype. Thankfully, I did not have a spare $500 bucks lying around to buy one. This is a very good thing. Now that, Apple has announced the iPod touch, I can get everything that so impressed me with the iPhone–touch screen, wireless true Internet, etc.–for under $300. I never really wanted it as a phone but for the other features. And, you can now download iTunes music straight on the touch. Fantastic!

But, you’ve got to think that there are some folks who bought the iPhone, swallowed the Kool-Aid, and agreed to contracts w/ AT&T for two years who are pretty pissed right now. Add to that the price drop on the iPhone by $100. All I can say is I am glad I waited…or, was too broke to jump on the early adopter bandwagon.
