Of course, neither of us could touch Jeremy for sheer aggravating brilliance. He could pick up a trick in less than a day that it took me a week to master. He To Whom I Am Married went through something similar at 35. He told me that since the average lifespan of a male was 70, 35 was middle-aged. I told him that was poppycock. His midlife crisis dream car is a Mini Cooper, since he has nothing to prove. He's turning 40 next January, so I suppose we'll have to look into it. Good lord.
