Aching Feet Lead to Ugly Shoes
All of the walking in D.C. (I think I have done more miles in the past three days than I have done in the past year) has lead to extremely painful feet. So, in desperation, I stopped by some shoe shops in Chinatown on the way to the convention center today. I was angling for some Keen sandals, which I had heard where very comfortable. Initially I wanted the Newport models but could not bring myself to spend $90 bucks. Instead, I tried on the undeniably ugly Yoguis. They were unbelievably comfortable and 20% off. So, I accepted their ugliness and that they are a half size too big and laid down $40 for them. Despite appearances, my feet are thanking me.

Do not mock teh Keen! Tres comfortable with sometimes a modicum of fashion.

I love Keens. I think most of them look great. I just think the ones I got are a tad on the ugly side: they look like the disowned (and thus discounted) bastard child of a Croc and a Keen.

I have the same pair of shoes/sandals. Let me tell you, I don’t want to get rid of them! They are more comfortable and stronger (witht the Vibram sole) than Crocs. I have had them for 3 years and every time I try on a new pair of sandal/shoes I can’t give up my ugly Keens.
